Table

The flat top surface of the diamond. It's the largest facet and looks like a flat "window" on top.

Crown

The upper portion of the diamond, from the table to the widest part. It has angled facets that help reflect light.

Girdle

The thin band around the widest part of the diamond. It separates the crown from the pavilion.

Pavilion

The bottom portion of the diamond, from the girdle to the point at the bottom. It's shaped like an inverted pyramid.

Culet

The tiny point or facet at the very bottom of the pavilion.

Star Facet

Small triangular facets on the crown, touching the table.

Bezel Facet

 Larger kite-shaped facets on the crown, below the star facets.

Upper Girdle Facet

Triangular facets on the crown that touch the girdle.

Lower Girdle Facet

Triangular facets on the pavilion that touch the girdle.

Pavilion Facet

Large triangular facets on the pavilion that extend to the culet.
